Google takes another cue from AirDrop to improve Quick Share

Google is planning to add NFC-based Tap to Share to Quick Share, inspired by AirDrop features in iOS 17.

Android 17 beta and Canary builds contain strings referencing a TapToShare gesture, pointing to development work.

Samsung is also adding a Tap to share feature in One UI 9, and Quick Share uses Wi‑Fi Direct for faster large-file transfers.
