Niantic Spatial wants to map the 80% of the economy AI can’t see

Niantic Spatial launched Scaniverse for businesses, a self-service tool for capturing real-world spaces and turning them into accurate 3D maps and models.

The company says its spatial intelligence stack combines precise location data with visual reconstruction to build a large geospatial model of physical environments.

Niantic Spatial is betting that AI must understand real places in 3D to be useful in industries like manufacturing, logistics, construction, and agriculture.
