Broadcom to supply Meta with custom silicon through 2029 — Broadcom CEO Hock Tan departs Meta's board

Broadcom and Meta struck a multi-year deal through 2029 for custom MTIA AI accelerators and Ethernet networking.

The agreement covers hundreds of thousands of processors and more than 1 gigawatt of initial compute capacity.

Meta is locking in major AI infrastructure as it expands custom silicon deployment at scale.

Broadcom strengthens its role in AI chips and interconnects, while Hock Tan will step down from Meta’s board and advise instead.
