Reddit users say AMD’s Adrenalin 26.5.1 driver can break Zero RPM fan control after a monitor wakes from sleep or powers back on.

In affected cases, GPU fans stay off until a reboot or driver reinstall, even though the card should resume normal fan behavior.

The bug raises the risk of overheating, throttling, instability, and possible hardware damage during everyday use or gaming.

AMD has not publicly confirmed a fix, though users are trying workarounds such as reverting to Adrenalin 26.3.1 or using DDU.
