Cisco strengthens AI observability by acquiring Galileo

Cisco will acquire Galileo to strengthen its AI observability stack and bring new guardrails into Splunk Observability Cloud.

Galileo’s tools help monitor AI agents with hallucination detection, bias checks, and production oversight across the development lifecycle.

The companies will operate separately until the deal closes, which Cisco expects in fiscal Q4 2026.

The acquisition is aimed at giving customers better visibility, reliability, and security for AI agents in production.
