Psychonauts Maker Double Fine Just Became The 14th Gaming Team To Unionize At Microsoft

Double Fine employees filed an NLRB petition on May 7 to unionize with the Communications Workers of America.

The Microsoft-owned studio is seeking voluntary recognition for 42 workers, making it Microsoft’s 14th gaming team to organize.

The move adds to a broader wave of labor organizing across Microsoft’s game studios.

It also tests whether Microsoft will keep a neutral stance on union efforts under its current Xbox leadership.
