New SteamOS update finally fixes one of the Steam Deck's most irritating bugs

Valve released SteamOS 3.8.5 Beta with bug fixes and stability tweaks for Steam Deck and other handhelds.

A notable fix addresses a Steam Deck OLED issue where speakers stop working after reboot until the device is rebooted again.

The update also improves discrete GPU memory handling, fixes a Desktop Mode logout bug, and resolves a suspend issue on the Asus ROG Ally.

Valve says earlier 3.8.4 beta changes added Wi‑Fi, trackpad, Steam Machine, and Steam Controller improvements.
