The effect was verified by VGC, and it appears tied to the controller’s motion/drop behavior.

The discovery adds a playful touch to a new Valve device that is already seeing strong demand and limited stock.

Launch pressure has also led Valve to use a reservation queue as shortages and resale concerns build.
