A Dark Horse Company Matures Under The SpaceX Flag

SpaceX has reportedly acquired Cursor, the AI-native code editor from Anysphere, in an all-stock deal valued at about $60 billion.

The move adds a widely used developer tool to SpaceX’s growing AI strategy and developer-facing products.

By owning Cursor, SpaceX gains a channel to software engineers and a stronger foothold in AI-assisted coding and model training.

The deal also positions SpaceX to compete more directly in the developer tools ecosystem alongside products like Microsoft Visual Studio Code.
