Suncheon opens additional applications for early scrappage… support for Grade 5 vehicles ends this year

Suncheon City will accept additional applications for its 2026 early scrappage support program from Aug. 3 to 14.

Eligible vehicles include diesel vehicles rated Grade 4 and Grade 5 vehicles, but support for old Grade 5 cars ends this year.

Applicants must meet vehicle and ownership requirements, and those who scrap a Grade 4 diesel and buy a zero-emission vehicle can also receive a new-car subsidy.

The program is part of the city’s effort to reduce fine dust and cut greenhouse gas emissions.
