Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth didn’t get story DLC, but Part 3 could if fans want it, director says

Naoki Hamaguchi said Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth skipped story DLC so the team could focus on finishing the third remake game sooner.

He added that post-launch DLC for Part 3 could still happen if fan demand is strong enough.

Rebirth is also set to launch on Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X/S on June 3, with a demo already available on both platforms.

The update clarifies Square Enix’s support plans for the remake trilogy and leaves the door open for future extras.
