Hands On: Pokémon-Inspired Switch Hopeful 'Petal Runner' Stole The Show At BitSummit

Petal Runner from Nano Park Studios was shown at BitSummit as a Switch hopeful with pastel, EarthBound- and Pokémon-like pixel art.

Its demo focuses on cleaning, delivering, and cataloguing digital pets called HanaPets through short minigames, not turn-based battles.

The current build includes two pet types, with a larger roster planned for launch.

The game highlights a growing indie trend: nostalgic creature-collecting vibes in a noncombat format that could appeal to Pokémon fans.
