How I built a tool that converts SVG files into 3D letter fabrication files (STL + DXF)

A solo developer built FacLet3D, a web app that turns SVG graphics into production-ready files for dimensional letters and signage.

It generates separate STL shell and base files, plus a DXF acrylic face file, with adjustable wall thickness, base geometry, slot sizes, and tolerances.

The tool also includes a browser-based 3D preview, making it easier to validate designs before fabrication.

FacLet3D aims to replace manual Blender workflows and reduce reliance on outside 3D modeling help for signage production.
