Next-generation communications IOWN to launch this fall in China and Kyushu; NTT West president eager to join Expo site development

NTT West plans to expand its IOWN-based corporate communication service this fall to major metropolitan areas in Chugoku and Kyushu, beyond Kansai and Chubu.

President Ryota Kitamura said the company aims to broaden access to high-speed, high-capacity next-generation connectivity.

NTT West also wants to enter development projects for Yumeshima, the post-Expo site in Osaka.

Its pitch includes telecommunications infrastructure and digital signage services for the new island district.
