Karaage-kun 40th Anniversary Introduces New Flavor; Guinness Recognizes It as "World's Best-Selling"

Lawson announced Karaage-kun was certified by Guinness World Records as the most sold freshly fried karaage brand for 2024.

January–December 2024 cumulative sales totaled 286,898,542 units.

Karaage-kun was first released on April 15, 1986.

More than 430 varieties have been sold so far, with cumulative sales of about 4.88 billion units.

For its 40th anniversary Lawson released three new flavors on April 7 and five character goods on April 14.
