An inside tour of Lenovo’s North Carolina AI server manufacturing line expansion — Chinese firm expanding US-native production to meet exploding demand

Lenovo has doubled its Whitsett, North Carolina manufacturing site to 890,000 square feet.

The expanded facility adds AI server production capacity and can support up to 1,000 workers.

Lenovo says the move will help meet rising AI infrastructure demand with faster delivery and stronger supply-chain trust.

The expansion also reinforces Lenovo’s U.S. server manufacturing presence in North Carolina.
