Huawei has provided digital connectivity to 170 million people in remote areas across more than 80 countries.

The achievement was announced in Barcelona by Yang Chaobin, CEO of Huawei ICT BG, at the TECH Cares Forum.

In 2022 Huawei pledged, when joining the ITU P2C Digital Coalition, to connect 120 million people in remote areas by 2025.

The TECH Cares Forum brought together around 80 guests from governments, industry, partner organizations, and international bodies.

Cosmas Zavazava and Jeffrey Sachs were quoted on rural connectivity and on AI and digital networks, respectively.
