YouTube Premium just got a price hike, and it's not a small one

Google will raise U.S. YouTube Premium prices next month across all plan types.

The individual plan rises to $15.99, the family plan to $26.99, the student plan to $8.99, and the annual plan to $159.99.

Google notified subscribers by email and has not publicly explained the increase.

The higher pricing could push some users to cancel, especially as YouTube also tightens ads and anti-ad-block rules.
