JR East's QR ticketing service "Ekinet Q Ticket" to expand to all areas in November

JR East will expand its QR-code boarding service, Ekinet Q Ticket, to the Joshinetsu and metropolitan areas from November 1.

That means the service will cover all JR East areas earlier than originally planned.

Passengers will be able to use ticketless QR-code boarding across a much wider network, reducing reliance on paper tickets and Suica.
