The Vivaldi 8.0 update makes it harder than ever to go back to Chrome

Vivaldi has released version 8.0 with a new Unified design language that blends tabs, toolbars, panels, and web content into one surface.

The update adds fresh themes, plus access to more than 7,000 community-made themes, expanding customization options.

It also introduces six preset layouts to make setup easier across Windows, macOS, and Linux.

The redesign aims to keep Vivaldi’s edge as a highly customizable Chrome alternative while reducing onboarding friction for new users.
