Previous Call of Duty titles "got away from that 'big war' feeling." Infinity Ward promises that Modern Warfare 4 "goes back to its roots"

Infinity Ward says Modern Warfare 4 will continue Captain Price and Task Force 141 after Modern Warfare 3 as a direct sequel.

The game will wrap up the Makarov storyline and introduce a new Korean conflict narrative across multiple fronts.

About half of the campaign is planned as large-scale warfare, while the rest keeps the series’ tactical combat focus.

A rebuilt DMZ mode will tie into the campaign, adding dynamic missions, weather effects, and a new map spanning South Korea, North Korea, and parts of Russia.
