CarPlay in iOS 26 promises video playback feature, here’s the latest

Apple is adding parked-only video playback to CarPlay in iOS 26, a major shift from its long-standing ban on video in the car.

The feature appears in developer documentation and simulator tools as “video in the car,” but it is not yet broadly available.
