How The ARISE Network Is Rethinking Clinical AI

ARISE, a physician-led healthcare research network from Harvard and Stanford, is building ways to evaluate clinical AI in medicine.

The group is testing whether AI can outperform clinicians, how humans and AI collaborate, and how to define clinical reasoning.

Researchers also launched simulator-style and collaboration-focused studies with support from an ARPA-H grant.

The work could influence how AI is used for diagnosis, decision support, and future physician-machine division of labor.
