Elon Musk will get a historical paycheck if he builds a colony of one million humans on Mars

SpaceX has tied Elon Musk’s potential compensation to an extreme milestone: a permanent Mars settlement of at least 1 million people.

Bloomberg’s report on the IPO filing says the share award would be fully unlocked only if SpaceX also reaches a $7.5 trillion valuation.

The filing shows Musk holds 85.1% of voting power, underscoring his outsized control over the company.

The plan links one of the largest executive pay packages ever proposed to SpaceX’s most ambitious long-term goals.
