OpenAI can now host their models with other cloud providers

Microsoft and OpenAI amended their partnership to let OpenAI offer products through any cloud provider.

Azure still remains the primary cloud partner, with first rights for most new launches.

Microsoft keeps a non-exclusive IP license through 2032 and revenue-share terms through 2030.

The change reduces Microsoft’s exclusivity and gives OpenAI more flexibility in model distribution.
