Waymo wants your next robotaxi ride to feel less like a taxi and more like your living room

Waymo is adding Google’s Gemini assistant to its robotaxis for passenger-facing help inside the car.

Gemini can answer questions, suggest places, and adjust cabin settings, while staying separate from driving tasks.

Waymo is also rolling out a redesigned cabin interface in its Ojai robotaxi, including a simpler layout and Calm Mode.

The update shows autonomous ride-hailing is now competing on in-car experience, not just self-driving capability.
