Why Atlassian is letting Claude Code into its own data graph

Atlassian is opening its Teamwork Graph to third-party AI agents, including Claude Code, through new CLI and MCP tools in Rovo Chat Max.

The open beta lets MCP-compliant agents query context across Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management, and connected SaaS tools.

Atlassian says broader access to enterprise data will make AI assistants more useful by giving them richer context.

The move strengthens Atlassian’s push into the agentic enterprise software market, where context and workflow integration are key.
