Stellantis reportedly in talks with Leapmotor over Canada EV plant

Stellantis is in early talks with Leapmotor on a possible EV project for its idle Brampton, Ontario plant.

The site became available after Stellantis canceled a planned Jeep SUV program there and moved it to the U.S.

Canadian officials want any new investment to support local workers and parts suppliers.

If it proceeds, the project could revive a stalled plant and expand Stellantis-Leapmotor EV production outside China.
