Safari's Latest Trick Could Be Automatically Organizing Your Tabs Into Groups

Apple is reportedly testing a new Safari feature called Organize Tabs that would automatically group open tabs.

Users may be able to choose automatic tab grouping, making Safari easier to manage for people with many tabs open.

Bloomberg says Apple could preview the feature at WWDC26 and launch it in iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27.

The move would bring more AI-style productivity tools to Safari and narrow the gap with Chrome’s tab organization features.
