Nintendo says Switch 2 price increase doesn’t cover all costs, hopes its upcoming games will help to ‘overcome this barrier’

Nintendo has raised Switch 2 prices in the US, Europe, Canada and Japan as operating costs climb.

President Shuntaro Furukawa said the increases still do not fully cover Nintendo’s higher costs.

He warned the higher prices could slow purchases, but said a stronger game lineup should support demand.

The move highlights how inflation, currency weakness and supply costs are pressuring console makers.
