This new compact tablet takes aim at the iPad mini with a better display and a bigger battery

Xiaomi is teasing the Redmi K Pad 2 on Weibo ahead of its China launch later this month.

The tablet is expected to pack MediaTek’s flagship Dimensity 9500 chip.

It will feature an 8.8-inch LCD with an anticipated 3K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate.

The device houses a 9,000mAh battery — compared with the iPad mini’s 5,078mAh.

Other reported details include possible Bose-tuned stereo speakers, 67W fast charging, dual X-axis haptics, improved cooling, expected international rebranding as Xiaomi Pad Mini, and pricing not yet confirmed.
