New station on the Tōyō Rapid Railway; Funabashi City seeks station name submissions

Funabashi City has started collecting name ideas for a new Toyo Rapid Railway station between Higashi-Nakayama and Iiyama-sato.

The station is planned to open by the end of fiscal 2028 as part of the Funabashi Medical Town redevelopment effort.

It will support access to the Kebikawa upstream district and the broader community area.

The final name will be decided by a review committee and the railway company, not by the number of submissions.
