US missile defenses to be strengthened with new 4-fold THAAD propulsion expansion

L3Harris signed a framework agreement with the Department of War and Lockheed Martin to quadruple THAAD propulsion production over seven years.

Final contract details are expected later this year, alongside a separate push to increase PAC-3 interceptor propulsion output.

The expansion would significantly boost supply of critical missile defense hardware for THAAD and other interceptors.

It is meant to strengthen U.S. and allied inventories during periods of high demand or prolonged conflict.
