GitLab releases version 19.0 with broader use of AI agents

GitLab 19.0 expands AI agents across the full DevSecOps workflow, from planning and coding to reviews, security fixes, and deployments.

The release makes SBOM-based dependency scanning generally available, improving visibility into transitive dependencies and supply-chain risk.

GitLab also broadens model support, including Anthropic Claude Opus 4.7, Google Gemini, Devstral 2, and GLM-5.1.

New organization-wide review policies and self-managed infrastructure changes aim to reduce admin overhead for large teams.
