Infinity Ward says the riot shield is returning in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, but it will now be destructible.

The change is meant to curb one of the franchise’s most hated defensive multiplayer tactics.

The reveal event also confirmed broader multiplayer updates, plus the return of Ninja and Theater Mode.

Modern Warfare 4 will also feature an offline-playable campaign.
