Capcom Doesn’t Plan To Age Out Resident Evil’s Legacy Heroes: ‘We Don’t Really Think Of It In Those Terms’

Capcom says it is not planning to retire Resident Evil legacy characters like Leon, Chris, or Jill.

Requiem director Koshi Nakanishi said the company does not see older protagonists as characters to be swapped out for younger ones.

Leon Scott Kennedy, Chris Redfield, and Jill Valentine could all still return in future games.

The comments suggest Capcom wants longtime icons to remain part of the franchise rather than pass the torch entirely to a new generation.
