YouTuber exposes malware hidden in a free horror game distributed on Steam

A tech YouTuber, Eric Parker, found malware hidden in the free Steam horror game Beyond the Dark.

The malicious code was embedded in UnityPlayer.dll and detected in a sandboxed virtual machine.

After the discovery, Valve removed the game from Steam.

The incident highlights how malware can slip into major game platforms and steal user data, including from crypto-related browsers and extensions.
