Europe is preparing to hit Roblox and ChatGPT with its strictest platform rules

The European Commission may add Roblox and ChatGPT to the EU’s strictest Digital Services Act category in August, Bloomberg reports.

That designation would bring tougher requirements on transparency, safety, audits, data access, and risk reduction if the services exceed the EU user threshold.

The move would place both platforms under tighter oversight similar to other large online services, with significant penalties for noncompliance.
