iyO’s trademark lawsuit against OpenAI and Jony Ive paused over settlement talks

A California judge paused iyO’s lawsuit against OpenAI and Jony Ive for seven days while settlement talks continue.

The parties told the court they reached a settlement in principle in their trademark and trade secret dispute.

Judge Trina L. Thompson vacated the July 28 hearing and ordered a dismissal filing or status report by August 6.

If the deal is not finalized, the case and related injunction issues could return to court in September.
