Rivian will deliver the first R2 SUVs on June 9

Rivian says first customer deliveries of its new R2 SUV will begin on June 9.

The R2 sits below the R1 lineup and starts at just under $60,000, with cheaper versions planned for 2027 and late next year.

Rivian expects the model to drive rapid production growth and broaden demand.

Together with the upcoming R3, the R2 is a key test of Rivian’s path to profitability.
