Apple Wallet’s new Digital ID feature recently added more ways to use it

Apple expanded Wallet’s Digital ID beyond TSA checkpoints to support age verification for certain Apple Account and Apple services prompts.

The passport-based ID can now help confirm adult status during account creation, software updates, safety setting changes, and 18+ app downloads.

The move gives users a more private verification option as Apple tightens age-gating across its ecosystem.

Digital ID remains tied to a U.S. passport and is available on supported Apple devices.
