Video: New robot dog hunts tiny gas leaks at Norway’s massive carbon storage hub

ANYbotics is deploying autonomous robot dogs at Equinor’s Northern Lights carbon storage hub in Norway to inspect hazardous areas and detect tiny gas leaks.

The four-legged robots use sensors and AI to spot micro-leaks, monitor conditions, and reduce the need for humans to enter dangerous zones.

The company says the system has lowered worker exposure while improving safety, emissions control, and loss prevention at industrial sites.

ANYbotics also plans an explosion-proof model, ANYmal X, for oil, gas, and chemical facilities.
