Google unveils Gemini Robotics 2, an AI for full-body humanoid control

Google DeepMind unveiled Gemini Robotics 2, a next-generation robotics AI platform for humanoid and industrial robots.

The system uses vision-language understanding to plan tasks and control the whole body, including precise hand actions, obstacle avoidance, and multi-step workflows.

DeepMind also introduced ER 2 for higher-level reasoning and a lightweight on-device model to improve real-world deployment.

With stronger safety features and multi-robot collaboration, the launch signals a move toward physical AI robots that can understand and adapt to their environment.
