PUBG Boss Issues Statement on AI

Taeseok Jang, the PUBG Battlegrounds boss, said he is watching the AI issue closely.

He said AI is acceptable in game development if the gameplay stays good.

He also said AI used for artwork does not matter to him if the game still plays well.

Jang said his view could change in developer or publisher roles, and he has not finalized his opinion yet.

PUBG Studios wants AI to help create new gameplay experiences, while using it now for repetitive tasks; Krafton is AI-first, and Pearl Abyss said AI-generated assets were not meant for Crimson Desert's final version.
