The Ford GT Mk IV is the fastest production car to lap the Nürburgring Nordschleife, with a time of 6:15.997.

That lap time was set by Frédéric Vervisch.

The Nürburgring Nordschleife is 12.9 miles (20.8 km) long.

This century, the VW ID.R posted a faster lap of 6:05.336, driven by Romain Dumas in 2019.

The Porsche 919 Evo was quicker still at 5:19.546, driven by Timo Bernhard in 2018.
