Tomodachi Life doesn’t support Switch 2’s ‘handheld mode boost’ because it runs at 1080p in handheld, Nintendo says

Nintendo said Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream will not support the Switch 2 Handheld Mode Boost feature.

The game already runs at 1080p in handheld on Switch 2, so the boost is unnecessary for this title.

Handheld Mode Boost forces docked-mode execution and disables the touchscreen, but Tomodachi Life preserves touch while running at 1080p.

The Tomodachi Life demo currently allows Handheld Mode Boost but Nintendo will patch the demo to disable it.

Switch 2 received the Handheld Mode Boost system update last month to let Switch games run in docked mode while handheld.
