Saitama City New City Hall to be directly connected by deck from Shin-Toshin Station, with a three-building layout

Saitama City has completed the basic design for its new city hall, paving the way for a planned move from Urawa Ward to Omiya Ward in fiscal 2031.

The new complex will consist of three buildings: an administrative wing, a council wing, and a central plaza wing.

It will connect directly to Saitama-Shintoshin Station via a pedestrian deck, improving accessibility and circulation.

The project emphasizes disaster response, environmental performance, including ZEB Ready, and more efficient government operations.
