Infoblox and GoDaddy to identify AI agents via DNS

Infoblox and GoDaddy announced support for two open DNS-based standards, DNS-AID and ANS, now under IETF review.

The standards let AI agents publish metadata, identify themselves, and prove trustworthiness using DNS plus cryptographic verification.

By relying on open web infrastructure, the approach could give agents a common, interoperable identity and trust layer.

That could reduce dependence on proprietary systems and improve security for autonomous AI interactions.
