Trial x Seiyu joint supermarket third store opens; second in Kanagawa

Trial Group’s ST Retail will open the third “Trial Seiyu” store in Futamatagawa, Yokohama, on April 24.

The new format combines Trial’s IT and smart-cart strengths with Seiyu’s store locations and food capabilities.

The first Trial Seiyu store has posted strong gains in sales and customer traffic versus a year earlier.

Trial plans to roll out the model to around 60 Seiyu stores if the early results continue.
