Beware of phishing scams that impersonate National Health Insurance payments and trick users into sending money via PayPay — Phishing Countermeasures Council

A phishing email posing as a national health insurance premium notice has been reported, steering users to send money via PayPay.

The Phishing Countermeasures Council has issued a warning about the scam.

If the link in the email opens the PayPay app, a legitimate transfer flow may be abused to trigger an actual payment.

Because it impersonates an official payment notice, the scheme can cause immediate, everyday financial losses.
